Government of New Brunswick

The Government of New Brunswick has a web site dedicated to shale gas exploration and development. While the exploration for shale gas in New Brunswick is still in the very early stages to determine whether or not there are sufficient deposits to warrant a full-scale development of the industry, the governmenmt feels it is important to provide the public with the most information possible to make an informed choice on this sector. A map has been published to show where and which companies hold Crown licences to search and drill for shale gas in the province.
