ACEEE's State and Local Policy Database includes comprehensive information on energy efficiency policies currently implemented at the state and local level. The Scorecard shows that energy efficiency is a key resource nationwide, with utilities spending approximately $8 billion in 2018 for efficiency programs and saving 27.1 million MWh of electricity.
